i have a IRN baby about 2 months old. he started flying last week, but now i m facing a problem as after eating a bit from my hand he just looks at top and flies to the topmost part of that room.and doesnot comes back himself but if i put my hand there then he easily comes into my hand but after sometime he flies again. and doesnt likes to sit on hand. is there anything i could do to stop him from flying to top,as i want him to sit on my hand???

birds feel safe up high, he needs to fully trust which will just take time. Plus he is a young flyer and flying down is tricky for birds. give him time and good experiences with you and he should become more relaxed with you

This is a natural part of him growing up; he is just learning and growing. Just like a human child who learns to run and loves it, he is learning to fly and loves it; don’t worry, it’s healthy.

I agree with the above(s).
Hey, the Rb *STILL* flies away to get away from my clutches! The only way I get him down is with his favorite treat... a green chile. Finding a completely irresistable treat is very helpful!
Your bird sounds just darling... and mischievous!

It will take time for your IRN to feel comfortable around you, when I first started
letting mine out of it's cage it would spend the majority of the time at the top of the
curtains.

With regular interaction and by letting it set a pace it was comfortable with it was soon
spending most of it's outside time within a few feet of me.
