Ionic hair dryer

I've decided to look up some of the products we own to see if the are safe and I found out that our hairdryer is ionic. Can't find much about it but it may be dangerous to people's lungs? It produces a very low amount of ozone that is toxic in high levels. I don't know if low levels affects birds. Found this:

Repeated inhalation of ozone can aggravate existing respiratory conditions, including asthma and allergies"

I use it in the bathroom right next to the room he is in, which I now think is pretty dangerous anyway. I think I am going to start using any products that heat up in the bathroom far away from him.

My research on hair driers (for disabled birds that might need a cool breeze to help dry off) lead me to believe that Ionic driers = bad for birds.

The main thing that came up though, was the fact that some hair driers have teflon in them and I was like ... "??" So now im on a mission to find a NON non-stick hair drier thats bird safe lol.

Some brands of hair dryers were manufactured with Teflon parts, but I think you'll find those currently on the market to be manufactured with ceramic parts, but be that as it may, a hair dryer with Teflon parts would catch fire before reaching a temperature dangerous to you or your birds.....

While you are thinking along the right lines, I seriously doubt it would offgas anything dangerous ! ! !

I also agree that ionic dryers are also dangerous in their own right, but for different reasons.....
