Hi,my name is Bob.I have two birds. The first is a Parroltte named Boo.He will be 6 years old this Winter. He is blue in color and is the best pet I have ever owned. My second bird is a Cocketiel named Butterfinger,he was caught roaming around my grandmothers house 17 years ago,so I am unsure about his age.He is not trained and has seisures if streesd so he cannot be handled.I look forward to being able to talked to other bird people, especially parrolette owners.Thank you

Welcome welcome!
I hope you find a warm welcome and good advice here. :)

(Wow, that's an old cockatiel. )

Welcome to the forums Bob, Boo, and Butterfinger! You'll find many members eager to share stories and information about parrotlets and cockatiels!

Hi and be welcome :)

You sound like a wonderfull birdperson.

WE DEMAND PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dunno why we like seeing our flock mates flock... take pics and share!

Welcome. I believe that if you handle Butterfinger more they will eventually not be stressed by it and have less seizures. Also are you sure they're actually having a seizure or are they just scared? What is the diagnosis for Butterfinger by an avian vet? Perhaps there is medicine for it. I think Butterfinger would be happier if they could be handled although it might be a tough road but maybe worth it.

Welcome and be welcomed. We some very active parrotlet owners on this forum, Inger and her parrotlet Bumble , have a charming thread with lots of pics and videos.

Hi!! So glad to see another parrotlet owner! I’m not the only one by any stretch, but I’m the loudest. Bumble, my little girl, is about 20 months old and is the love of my life. I can’t wait to hear more about Boo and, as everyone else has mentioned, we really like pictures here.
