Parrots
CAG, WC Pionus, WB Caique and Red Rump Grasskeet and coming soon Goffin Cockatoo.
I purchased Nemo from Shady Pines in Florida and he was flown to me after he was weaned. He is my most funny and entertaining little fella and he keeps me laughing with his cute antics. He spends most of his days playing in the bottom of his cage on his back with foot toys or either hopping across the bottom of his cage just being a goof. Nemo is one of my sweetest birds and loves his mama to pieces. I cannot ever imagine my life without Nemo. Gloria from Shady Pines told me exactly how to raise him and I listened to her every advice and it worked like a charm and Nemo is not a screamer at all but he does sound like a little gremlin when he talks. Anywho I just wanted to introduce my little man to everyone. Heres my baby:D

Nemo seems like an energetic little bird. I too am interested in a caique. How much did Nemo cost? Did he have any brothers or sisters that you knew of at Shady Pines?

Nemo cost me $800 plus $100 shipping from the Balabans AKA Shady Pines in Florida. I am smitten with this boy and highly recommend buying a Caique from them. Thanks

Nemo sounds like a gem, so full of energy and personality.
My life would be so boing and without meaning, without my African Grey Mishka.
Love lets the world go round.
Enjoy him, sounds like he deserves a mommy like you !!!
Take care

Can you share what Gloria told you on how to raise him ? Advices?

Thanks

also interested on how to raise caiques, very interested in buying one i have kept parrots for years but have had some bad experiences in the past so i'm trying to educate my self as much as possible. i have read all there is to read over and over, now i want to here from the owners/breeders of these guys....give it to me..straightup...

So welcome to the forum Nemo. Is he a captain? You are a luck lady Jennifer to have found a breeder who is willing to give you education as well as a very sweet bird. I love the name.

What a cutie Nemo is! I am reading the book on Caiques to try and take good care my little Louis. He came from a great home with lots of instructions, but I wonder what the breeder told you??? Best wishes!
