Hi!
I'm Carey! I just joined and am looking forward to meeting all of you.
Since I have had parrots, my life has blossomed! Not only because I love them and they love me, but because just being involved with parrots has led me to be involved with a local rescue where I have met some of the best friends that I could imagine! I have to include Mike, my sig other of nearly 12 years. He loves them as much as I do.
I hope to meet some more great friends here!
I have 14 birds. Yes, it sounds like alot, but we are family and get along really well. We have 7 Blue crowned conures and othersW but the BCCs are the favs....just don't tell our other birds, cuz we love them dearly too!!
I recently found out that my friend Michelle calls me the conure whisperer....LOL....cuz we just have a way with conures.
We recently adopted a green cheek that has MANY issues, that we are working with. He will be fine in....about a year, I'd say. Birds are very forgiving and understanding and eventually, those that we have worked with have come around. I hope it works out for this guy too, cuz he's a cutie and very smart!
