Interesting article

Great article, Allee! Didn't know how far back humans began to covet birds. The other attributes mentioned help reinforce what we already know!!

What an interesting read! It's so strange to think about parrots that were kept so long ago.

Really makes me wonder what those cages looked like and what those parrots were fed all those years ago.

Great find Allee... Loved it. Amazing how parrots have been captivating us for so long...I really enjoyed reading it Thank you for sharing it

Really makes me wonder what those cages looked like and what those parrots were fed all those years ago.

Probably fed better than today, seeing as there was really no processed food back then. But, they also probably didn't know the issues with the 5-6 no nos either.

The real interesting part of the story is that it means that Parrots have been around Humans all this time, but are still considered non -domesticated. Interesting is it not?

Very good point about the processed food, those parrots probably ate better than many of today's humans. In more recent history when I was growing up my favorite Auntie had two wild caught Amazons, she planted fig trees and pomegranate trees and fed them from her vegetable garden.
