Injured conure....broken leg

I'm sorry about the broken leg. Scary when they get hurt. My Poco got stepped on by a dog when he was very young. Clean break of his leg. Like your birdie, it had a "cast" put on it so it could heal.

I spent much time holding him in my hand so he could rest his good leg as much as possible. He healed quickly and 100%.

2nd picture...he is either dead or fast asleep lol....I'll say fast asleep! Very content and trusting of you to be held and fall asleep in your hand. Great picture thanks for sharing.

Ok...will still take care....he still doesn't use dat leg much actually...he doesn't grip using dat feet...lets see after a few days if it's still like dat

I absolutely love it when he falls asleep in my hand. Thank you for the comment!

To the op, Poco took a week or so to start using his leg normally after getting out of his cast, but did show daily progress.
