I think my poor little boy is poorly
He's really not being him self, I posted yesterday, he just seems to be sleeping a lot!! And I mean a lot!! We woke up this morning and he's just sat on the bottom with his head tucked in to himself and ALOT of diarrhea!!! any advice?

My Quaker began acting in a similar manner, and started throwing up white, watery stuff, as well as diarrhea.. I took him to the vet.. She couldn't find anything wrong w/ him, so treating for a bacterial infection. She gave him a shot, which seemed to help a little, now I'm to follow up w/ antibiotics for 2 weeks.. Is your baby eating & drinking?

I would take him to the vet asap. Sleeping all the time, and sitting at the bottom of the cage is not a good sign.

I already commented on your previous thread and you mentioned that his droppings and behaviours were fine - if he has diarrhea combined with lethargy and is perched on the bottom of his cage, he is likely incredibly ill and he needs to go to a CERTIFIED AVIAN VET for a fecal exam and blood panel.

Yes, definitely get your parrot to a certified avian vet as soon as possible! He's potentially very sick, and with birds illnesses can often spiral downhill quite rapidly.

You don't want to delay.
