indian ringneck questions

I don't find them too loud and my neighbors haven't said anything. When my irn does scream I can hear it outside my apartment, but it's rare for her to scream. I asked my neighbors and they said they don't ever hear my bird. I also live in a college apartment so it could just be we are all comfortable with everything not being 100% quiet.

Ah, that's good to know!

I wish I could find a good breeder for them, now. I can't spend over $200 on them, and I have found breeders who are selling them for $200 or lower, just not near me lol.

Look around you never know what you will find. A lot of times people need to rehome and aren't worried about money.

Whatever specie you decide on, you can get them used to traveling by taking them on short trips...to the store & back, then further, say to Chattanooga for lunch or something, then maybe overnight to a friend's for the weekend, etc.....but I would take a friend with me on short trips, so the bird is not left in the car.....some places I feel comfortable letting my bird wait in the car, but in & around Atlanta, I would either have someone with me or the bird would go inside in my jacket, with me.

All of my birds have been on road trips...two up to 900 miles, one 700 miles, and the other two less than 200 miles each. Also, I have found that unlike most recommendations, I mount my travel cages in the back seat, but in such a manner that they can see above the seat & watch what's going on or going by and I have never had a bird get sick from traveling. If you travel with a bird, grapes, apples & oranges serve as food & water sources during the trip, without everything getting all over the car.

yea every year i go from Gwinnett, GA down to West Palm Beach, FL and my birds come with me start off with trips to pet stores or parks with wings clipped or harness on you can take them outside :)

Oh you are from Atlanta, too? :)

Thanks for the tips!
