This would be an adoption i know ive posted before but that last adoption did not work out the guy told me if i did not adopt both birds he would not let me adopt any.... kind of rude and its not even like the birds lived together but regardless im now in a dilema i have visited both birds but im curious of your opinions of what bird i should get

1. A indian Ringneck this one is gorgeous Green body dark green wings red beak and a blue spot on his head 2 275 with cage

OR
2. Nanday conure o=also nice looking bird blue with a black head 4 years old 200 with cage

Also which one is larger i know the ringneck is longer but i mean wider like whos the bigger bird? whos beak is bigger?

Does the first 2 mean he/she is 2 years old? If so, if there is a ring, then he is a male. No ring, then a female.

If they are 2 and 4 years old, then they will not be getting any bigger. If you visited with both of them, you can judge it's size. The IRN's beak is definitely the bigger of the two. Both are beautiful birds. Both are VERY loud, so something else to consider.

Which did you feel more comfortable with? Let one of them choose you.

First two means he's two I just don't know what one to get there both very nice looking but can anyone tell me what bird is wider or more stocky I want a big bird I know the ringneck is considerably longer right? Size comparisons please :)

It really does depend on what parrot suits you.

The IRN is pretty loud parrot, with a very long tail. They are prone to a bluffing stage, where they will bite for a little while. But not every parrot will go through that, so that's not a big problem.

I have heard that conures are also prone to the bluffing stage, but not as bad as some IRN. Other than that, I really don't know other since I never had a nanday conure

I think the best thing to do is go research about the two species, and then decide which one to get

Hope this helped

From my knowledge conures are louder and friendly more then IRN, you can easily train for free flight as well as tricks...

The Nanday I used to have was a super smart bird that flies to you on command. But the screaming part is what I can not take from Conures....They were driving me insane....lol

Now going back to the beginning, IF the adoption place is trying to force me to adopt two or none ever, I think I would not adopt any from them period.

Also do be careful IF you ever do decide to move to a different state, in certain states Nandays are illegal to own, breed, sell, or adopt. I'm in one of those states now, not long ago someone tries to give me a Nanday and I politely declined as I was forward with her that I'm not a conure fan....lol
