Welcome to you and beautiful Piku!

How old is Piku? My first thought is the dent may be result of abrasion by continuously rubbing his beak on hard objects such as cage bars or toys.

That he is eating and behaving normally is encouraging. If the dent becomes larger or becomes a hole in the beak, a visit with certified avian vet (if available) may become necessary.

Thank you Scott!!
Piku is 3 months old
He loves rubbing his beak everywhere ( wooden bars , cage grills, handles, floor etc )
I thought it is normal for birds to rub their beaks
Is there anything I can do to prevent further damage ??

As stated above, likely caused by an external force. The 'dent' appearance implies it is not caused by rubbing, nor is it causing the rubbing. Parrots commonly rub their beaks to simply keep them clean.

Good news is that with time, the beak will grow-out and the dent will be gone.

Enjoy your baby!

I have an african ringneck that had damage to her beak as well, also in the same area. The damage wasn't quite as bad as your ringnecks beak, however. It took time, but it did grow out. I'm not sure that I have any clear pictures of it... when I first got her, she was pretty scruffy looking! The feathers have since grown out and she's looking much better! Except she's going through a molt, lost her two longest tail feathers and is a bit scruffier in the head region...

Agree, as long as it doesn't get worse, just keep an eye on it and it'll "heal" in time. (aka grow out)
