Baby YCA (unamed)
Ace-the place with the helpful hardware folks (male CAG) Bellini- male peachfaced lovie
It's officially been a week since peppy came home. He's SUCH A JOY. In the week I've had him we've grown so much. He trusts me more, now instead of shying away and biting when I go to pet him, he falls asleep while I'm petting him, as a matter of fact he is throwing a fit because I'm writing this instead of petting him. We've gotten over his issues getting in and out of the cage (almost there with getting off shoulders!). And he only bites when I've pissed him off in some way. I loved him so much even before he came home, but I never expected I'd laugh so hard I'd cry because of the pitter patter of his feet when he runs to me, or that my heart would melt when all he wants is some cuddles and reassurance. I've learned some of his fears ( I can't cover him at night or else he will start flying at the cage and hurting himself) and I've learned that sometimes birds just get ANGRY. He's gotten comfortable as of late and knows I have a laughing fit when he starts chirping at his perch. I never thought I could love anything this much. He and I also learned the deal with pin feathers, he had a bunch on his head and was uncomfortable at first but then fell asleep as I got them uncovered. He is actually the most cuddly bird I've met.

The writing of this post has been delayed by: Pepper attempting to preen my eyelashes multiple times, pepper eating the phone, pepper eating my ear, pepper having a hissy fit (quite literally) and finally pepper attacking me ultimately losing his cuddle time tonight, I guess he was mad I took too long.

:smile015::smile015:It's amazing how much we can fall in love with our birdies. I wouldn't take anything for mine.
Sounds like you're off to a great start.

That is awesome they are very lovable! I love spending time with my bird more than anyone else that is for sure and I'm happy he is a velcro bird :) Sorry I know this is off topic but what does "Ace-the place with the helpful hardware folks (CAG)" mean? As you have that listed as being one of your parrots. I kept staring at it trying to figure it out lol

Its the jingle for Ace hardware. We realized that we named him after a hardware store AFTER we named him so we can't change it...I'm determined to teach him the jingle! :)

Ah I see, no wonder I couldn't figure it out! I even googled it to try to figure out what kind of bird that might be lol :D

Haha! I can see how it might be confusing, especially if you've never heard the jingle before. :D
