Hello everyone!
I'm Katherine and I am referred to by my husband as the "In-House Zookeeper". That's probably because, thanks to him just being wonderful, I've been able to stay home for the last three years and take care of our beautiful 7yo daughter and our mini "zoo".
Currently, we have 1 dog (Onyx, a Boston Terrier), 1 Green Cheek Conure (Loki), 1 Russian Tortoise (Deemer, but he actually belongs to our DD), 1 corn snake (Freckles) and a very "special" Bearded Dragon we brought home a couple of months ago (Norbert). We jokingly say we seem to have an affinity for the "special" ones. Loki is more than a bit bipolar/split personality, Onyx hasn't mastered a single trick other than "sit" and "look" (into my eye) after 6 years. Deemer has a habit of crawling on top of his hider, looking for someone to watch him, before jumping off. More than once we've had to turn him shell-side up! Norbert is the only bearded dragon I know of that needs to be hand-fed (he has a neurological disorder, thus why we were able to adopt him for free). Yet, we adore them all!
We're hoping to move somewhere warm (we're looking at Arizona, fingers crossed!!) by the early fall. Currently we're in windy, rainy Seattle. As nice as it was when we first moved here, I think we're ready for a warmer, brighter change
