I’m not sure what breed she is but she’s a hybrid named peaches
I got this beautiful girl as a rescue from a friend who just kept her in a tiny cage so she plucked herself nearly bald. :( fast forward we’re over halfway grown back but now I wander what kind she is ?

best guess a filtered sparkly macaw

I’m no Mac expert, don’t own one 😅

But my guess would be a Harlequin? A hybrid of B&G and Greenwing?
I’m sure someone else with chime in who might even own one!

Also, welcome to the forums! If you have any more questions don’t hesitate to ask! 😊

I’m thinking catalina honestly. I think harlequins are more green than blue, right? So I’m thinking catalina!

Edit: I am clearly blind. She looks like a harlequin too because she is quite green as well. So I’m thinking either harle or cata.

She’s got almost multicolored feather like the tips are coming in a different color then the rest of her feathers so I’m completely confused but I love her obnoxious self regardless 😅

Also,, she’s obviously not clipped and I do not plan on clipping her but her previous owners mentioned to me that she’s NEVER flown before she doesn’t even try which confuses me because I’ve had cockatiels as well as parakeets who all flew and I’ve even taken her outside but she just flaps herself all majestic but will NOT leave my shoulder ?

My Blue & Gold Max is the same way in regards to flying.

He has always been unclipped but just will not fly.
He'll only open his wings when he wants to look tuff or if he sees a towel and wants it's attention.

I love it 😻 lol I’m happy she’s not the only odd ball in the group I figured she was just scared because she is so so massive I don’t personally mind I couldn’t imagine her smacking into things in the house 🤦🏼‍♀️

I also vote for a Catalina, but whatever species she is she's gorgeous!
Bless you for rescuing her, she looks so happy.

Aren't Catalina and Harlequin macaws crosses between true species like B&G x Scarlet and another crossbreeding? I've read that some people "disapprove" of creating "designer birds" by interbreeding two species that would not breed together in the wild like this. I don't have an issue with "polluting the gene pool" like this

Catalinas are B&G + Scarlet, and Harlequins are B&G + GW:)
