I haven't been at this place in over a year. I believe it was last year before school started. Just went in today and I was really happy to see it had changed owners and was quite a bit different. As before, going through the fish tanks to the back where the bird stuff was is stinky. I seen a couple big bird cages that weren't there before and got excited! There were three big Parrots and a bunch of smaller birds too. The place had a bunch of Parrot stuff that I have been reading about on here. So I got a rope perch that I put back in the corner of his cage. I also got a big thick green one that bolts on and just sticks out. The new owner was pretty nice and answered all my questions with answers that I have just been reading on here. I got to go in "the back room!" There was another bird a YHA that was close to my YNA. It was really cool to he him picking up his birds and handling them so easily and not being nervous. I'm still a bit cautious with Bill. He had an AG that just roamed around the store. The biggest bird was a red Macaw! I guess I didn't realize how large of a bird they are! I would not want to get attacked by something of that size. So I got to talk about birds for awhile and it was cool. Can't wait to go back. As I was leaving he says "bring Bill in sometime!" Nothing would make me happier then to be able to do that, but I think it won't be till at least next summer? I don't even know if my Bill can fly? He has flapped his butt off making a bunch of feathers fly and noise and has dropped to the floor and the back of the couch. I guess he went onto the kitchen floor too. I would be nervous that he would get mad and not like something and then I'd be stuck. I can tell when hes mad and I don't get up on him cause I don't want bit. I know in time I will be able to, I'm not going to give up. So again I have some cool stuff happen with and about my new friend. My life has been turned around so much since he picked me at my mothers. Being picked is something that not everyone can understand. I'm watching Bill rip up the paper I just cleaned and put down for him. I'm not even mad I'm telling him to have more fun. If my dog did that I would tell him no and put him outside. I'm thinking the bird is kind of special !
