You know I only had to do that to Willie once in 9 years cause he keep it trimmed pretty good on his own on concrete perch. The last time I had to do it as it was getting long and I noticed it was because he needed a new concrete perch so I bought him a new one, voila all good again....The only thing I had to trim was his nails every so often. Now I got a friend that's brave enough to hold him for me I can trim them on my own again....

This is the second time since I got Sals that his upper beak required a trim. He has a large pedi perch but his beak tip still gets pretty pointy. It keeps his nails down fairly well, though. Whenever I do nail snips on my other 3 it's no problem at all. They just sit on the t-stand and let me snip away.

I wish mine was like that, all my birds want to eat the clipper....lol....The only one I can clip without issue is actually Java the U2 which is very surprising....He raise his foot to me and doesn't clinch up his toes at all and it was a easy task, I thought he would be hard to do it on since he can be kinda crazy, so it's pretty shocking when he lets me. BUT I have to be alone in the room with him with no one home or near by. As long as someone is around, forget it....
