Seems like Mr Nacho Biiiiiird may have picked up the concept of not biting the human! After only two or three thousand repeats of "no biting" while pushing his beak away from my arm he seems to have lost interest at least temporarily! I had him on me quite a bit yesterday and today and he seemed much more interested in trying to get on top of my head than he did having a bite of me, which is a very welcome change!
Also I'm not sure if he just decided it was a nice thing, or if I just discovered the right move, but he's suddenly taken quite a liking to head scratches. Just a few days ago he seemed to tolerate the head rubs at best but as of yesterday he's started to really like his rubs! So cute when they start getting that sleepy sleepy look while getting their pets =)
And the monkey in him is starting to show as well. I took the playtop tray off his cage a couple days ago to let more light in, and today he was climbing around the top of his cage playing with the stuff on the grate above. I caught a little of him up there on video as well as some of what I'm used to seeing him do. Climbing down head first and taking food from his dish up and over to the other side of the cage to eat it.
Silly bird...
