I've been having trouble sleeping properly recently and last night, I thought if I stayed up a bit later I could perhaps have a better, deeper sleep.

So, I was happily watching a backlog of true crime I had recorded and Cal was out of her cage. She started yawning and went to bed around 9pm so I covered her cage and put the tv on low. (We normally go to bed at about 8.30pm due to 4am starts lol)

All was well until about half past 10 all I heard from beneath the cover was "Ni night."

I smiled and carried on watching.

"ni night.....ni night.....ni night....."

A small pause.

NI NIGHT!

Oh well EXCUSE me Madam Calypso! hahaha!

So, like the well trained Parront I am I picked up my book and went to bed thoroughly chastised!

Anyone else have feel a bit like their metaphorical trousers are missing?! haha!

I love this story. A fine example of our birds needing their beauty sleep. I use a portable DVD player at night in the bedroom for watching movies. That way Rosie can get her quality sleep.

That is so cute!!! I'm glad I have a sleep room for my crew....I can stay up as long as I want!!!

hehe!

Just goes to show that even in once in a blue moon I am not permitted to stay in the lounge! :D

She does indeed love her sleep SB. As I say, she's usually in bed by 8.30 and then if I dare take off that cover before 10am I get a very grumpy girl.

I thought I may get away with it the "other end" this one time and leave her asleep this morning...no!

Good to see you have learned your place at the feet of your own parrot lord. :p

My birds I can put to bed whenever it's uncovering and letting them out in the morning where they are picky. It's probably since they are next to the window and the sun shines through as soon as the suns up.

Hahaha! Our two birds do the same thing if we stay up past 9:30.
Burd, the green cheek, makes a whole heap of quiet angry noises and glares at us from under the edge of his towel cover.
Cute as hell, but if we don't turn the tv down and the lights off, he'll come out and get all fluffed up and angry

LOL

I love stories!

She had me crying with laughter last night. She laughs when I laugh and last night, I only had to take in breath to BEGIN a laugh and she was laughing her little socks off. We got into such a frenzy. I was crying, you could see her little chest moving 10 to the dozen with the effort, Dave was laughing......I got a pain in my side, Dave got a pain in his HEAD and even when I stopped she carried on.....omg....

Talk about never being able to give them enough to compensate for what they give you!
