I rubbed Archie’s head and neck for a half hour

It was nirvana for both of us.

He cuddled into my chest and I massaged his cheeks and head forever. A half-hour non-stop, and believe me, I got bored but didn’t want to stop.

For those who are trying to reach this next plateau of your bird allowing head and neck scratches/massages, don’t despair. As soon as you get those first few rubs in there...and you will...you’re good to go,

My YNA Bingo likes those long cuddle and scratch sections just as you describe.
He sits on my chest leans his wing against my cheek and I rub and scratch away.

Have to be carful when working around the new pin feathers when they are coming in.
It can cause a sudden and negative reaction cuz those things are sensitive.

Our Julio is far less interested in being touched... But, when he is, it is also long sessions, well over a tiny, little half and hour.
