Just a Quick Update!
Well, we have already recovered all of our lost ground. We are back to compromising about cage transfers. She will do them immediately and without complaint as long as I don't touch her. She will step up and my hand again, but choses to fly from cage to cage. She will let me scritch her with enthusiasm. She babbles and talks to me and lets me feed her happily. She is calm and comfortable and "allows" me to talk to her and babble at her while she plays on the play tops. She exchanges expressions with me and looks at me and is generally happy when I am around. She still thinks my husband is God and that I am the hired help, but we are back at peace.
While I still want to move forward and forge more of a relationship, I am at least thrilled to be at a place where she has a good quality of life. We chose not to clip, and so far, I think that was right for us. Without a doubt, it makes things harder. However, she seems to deeply enjoy the freedom and the motion. As long as she will transfer when we need her to, I can live with the other troubles.
