Sunshine’s previous owner dropped her off today. Along with many tears, she said goodbye and filled me in on all her behaviors that she hadn’t already. She came with a nice big cage in decent condition and she has been a love right from te get-go.
Boy does this bird talk! Non stop! I didn’t know cockatoos talked this much. It’s not only adorable, but makes me very hopeful that I can reprogram her to use speech instead of screaming for flock calls. I did that with my macaw and he maybe screams one time a day, and that’s it. I’m hoping for the best in the screaming department, but prepared for the worst. Haha
I’m sure I’m going to have plenty of questions in the coming weeks, but for now, Sunshine and I are getting to know one another.
