....that i love Klaus.
when i got him around august last year, i was on holiday and got to spend a lot
of time with him. i loved how he took to me as soon as i saw him for the first
time, tilting his head for me to scratch him and stuff. he was just a baby back
then. i had a baby grey a few years ago which i handfed since he was about
a month and a half, and we were inseperable, but he got sick one day and
passed away. i still remember how he held on just a bit more to spend some
time on my lap before he was gone. i still tear up everytime i remember him.
i felt a connection with Klaus as soon as i got him and i've loved every day
spent with him. however, a month after he came home with me, i started my
'last extended' semester at university and i was buried in a lot of design
projects that i was literally just home to sleep and then back at campus almost
every day. i didn't get to spend much time with him, even though i always felt
like ditching and staying home with him a bit more every time he calls me
by using my whistle, that he picked up, whenever i was leaving the house. ;\
ironically, my final project for an exhibition was a parrot store concept that
i came up with to make a change in this country. Klaus was also happy to
model on some perches for me so i could use those photos in the exhibition.
after i was done with the semester, i finally had a lot of time for myself to
do whatever. that's when i started spending more time with Klaus. i noticed
he was being a bit passive for a while and he was also off his 'healthy' food
(the store was out of pellets for a while) so he was kind of grumpy for a
while but recently he's been reaaaally active, happy, and finally very vocal.
he's making me feel happy too, seeing him like this.
i've been going through a rough patch lately though, but he keeps me happy
and i hope nothing seperates us anytime soon. and i'm sorry for this long-ish
post. just wanted to share how i was feeling. ^^
