I have to find her a name soon. She can't go around being called 'blue chicken' forever. But naming a pet that will outlive you is a lot like naming a child. I have several in mind and you all have given me several more to think about!

Maybe someday I'll go back to working in rescue. I'm just still so angry at the bird club I worked with, that unless they change some of their practices, I shall not support them. This is the main reason I looked in local ads for another macaw vs going through my local rescue organization. I know I could have gotten a bird for less through them, but money wasn't an issue and I wanted THE bird, not A bird. I think I found a good fit.
