I just sold one of my babies to a very nice couple. They didn't even have to choose, the first baby chose them. I just hope I got through to them that she has to be on pellets, their other bird is on a seed/pellet mix from petco.

Sorry just had to share.

I thought you were keeping all of the babies? Don't be too upset about the seed/pellet thing. As long as the majority of his diet is pellets and fresh foods, a little seeds aren't bad, especially if it's a decent seed mix. I give all of my birds a little bit of seeds a couple times a week and they are in really good health. :)

It is always hard saying good bye to babies, I always make sure people promise to stay in touch and at least occasionally send me pictures so I can still see that they are doing well. Did you tell them that you would take the baby back if at any point they can't keep him?

Try not to be to down about it, I'm sure you gave these people the third degree before letting them leave with one of your little munchkins. And like you said, the bird chose them, that's ALWAYS a good sign in my opinion.

No I kept the first clutch and I was thinking about keeping one from this clutch too but I would only do that if the I want is the last one sold. They took one of the two I liked but they took her because she was one of the more social ones.

I definitely gave them a good talk first. I even printed out an info packet for then with all her info on it and everything they need to know about owning her.
I told them I would buy her back if anything was wrong. They do feed their other bird fresh foods, and they even asked me what her favorite fruit was so that makes me feel more comfortable about this.
They got her for a more cuddly bird and for a friend for their other bird. And I made sure they knew they can't be put together until she is 2 because their other bird is a male green cheek.

See! You got this under control! I'm sure they will give her a fantastic home!

I always get depressed when I sell one of my babies :( . You really sound like you have got everything under control. Info packet etc... And awesomeness with the buy back guarantee. :)

I bet it is hard to see them go. But it sounds like you are good at finding them good homes and educating them on good care.

You raised him with love, and sold him to a loving home. That family will love and take care of it like you did, and if they don't, he comes right back to a loving home :)

I know, she was the second most tame baby I have. She prefered to hang out on a person and the other three liked to fly with each other and randomly land and cuddle.
But on the bright side I still have to tamest one, he is sooooo cute, he never bites and he loves to cuddle. I'm thinking about hiding him in my room if someone else comes over to look at the babies.lol. I still haven't decided if I want to keep him or not. If I do decide not to keep him it is going to be so hard to give him up, I'm so attached to him.
I probably shouldn't have named them.
