So some supplies have arrived! My thread storage box (now labeled active project 2) and the cutest, tinyest pair of scissors ive owned and used (they are about 3.5 inches ....mt smallest set at work is 4 inches)

Sorting through all my off brand ,un numbered thread is tedious. I have to compare them to the DMC thread chart (thankfully hubby had the foresight to buy the one thats actual thread and not printed )

18/66 colours have been found . 1 colour so far is missing so i will need to buy it .

Just waiting on the aida now !

But i cant start stitching .....im mossing 10 colours. I have about 600 skeins of thread yet some how im missing colours? How does that happen ?!

Oh well means i get some retail therapy after my stressful dentist appointment Thursday , then i can start stitching!

Clearly in the last photo you are not paying enough attention to THE PARROT. He says “your finger is MINE and should be scratching my head.”

🤣 that last picture was him trying to unthread my needle , he was refusing to give it back !

That IS very cute; I found the pattern on Etsy.

I found someone who will print Audubon’s bird book pages and think I will buy the “Carolina parakeet” page and alter to be Quaker. The body outline is very similar so I think it’s doable.

I found this kit on ebay and I am going to change it a bit to make a row of QUAKER PARAKEETS! Now it is budgies.

@wrench13 it really depends on the size , number of colours ,if its full cover or not and how quickly and frequently you stitch.

My huge lilo and stitch one has taken over 3 years , my current parrot one, a couple months , my dungeons and dragon ones a couple days

I ordered a canvas from klimts “the kiss” (used from eBay; SEG de Paris) and when it arrived it was a Penelope canvas made for petit point. That’s more complicated than I was hoping for! This should keep me out of trouble for quite a while.

Willow would stay on my shoulder yesterday, so I’m hoping he will do the same today and I can get a start on it. The canvas is in a giant embroidery hoop and I will do as much as I can in gros point. I think I figured out what the colors should be, too. (And I have a month of laundry to do so I’m good I think.)
