Yep , it's that time again , spring .....kitten time.
I thought I heard kitten noises the other day , I looked around and saw nothing.
Last night my hubby heard it again and grabbed the flashlights and off we went kitten hunting. Well , down our very long gravel drive is another house off to the right. The noises were coming from under their deck. I was looking on one end and my hubby down at the other. He thought he caught sight of a little body scoot farther under the deck . I then saw something tiny looking back at me , and I figured if I go crawling under there and not be able to get out of something other then a kittens way , I will most likely regret it.
But , in the name of kittens , I crawled on under and thankfully the little guy was a kitten trying to hide in a tiny flower pot , lol. I talked to him for a while and found him to be a friendly , hungry little guy. He let me grab him sort of haphazardly and I crawled out . He is a tiny thing , about four weeks old and missing a few meals for sure .
He is black and white with tiny little white boots and a white racing stripe across one of his hind legs and thigh.
A real cutie :). And amazingly friendly for a feral cat !!!!
We checked for other kittens and saw none. We checked again today a couple of times too , and saw nothing. The people that own the house were on vacation , so they will keep a lookout just in case there's more. ( and I hope not , lol. )

Well , his name will either be Bobcat or Poncho , lol. My hubby is naming him .
He is in love with the little guy :). Funny thing though , he likes me
better , lolol.

I checked for fleas , ear mites etc.... Nothing ! Awesome !
He is rooming in one of our extra bedrooms for now. I will get him into the vets for a checkup next week. I sent a stool sample in today , so tomorrrow I will know those results. He is eating, drinking , pooping an peeing fine , so no worries there.

So , not what I planned , having two cats , but how can I resist :)
And my hubby loves him , so I couldn't break his heart, lol.
Thank God he is a pushover like me for animals :).
I love him for that :)

My neighbor was going to drown her cat's last litter!! I was so appalled! All I could handle was 2 of them and they are the most amazing cats. My neighbor, going on 25yrs., has never spayed or neutered any of her animals. My heart breaks for all that haven't made it. So sad. There ought to be a law.

Aww!! Kittens!! So glad you found the little guy. And Mare, that's awful! I once had a "friend" who wasn't opposed to spaying or neutering, but thought that every cat needed one litter first. Seriously?!?!?

Hubs and I are both suckers for animals, but he refuses to even entertain the idea of a cat despite the Spawn desperately wanting a Snowshoe Cat. Not just any kitten or cat, but a purebred Snowshoe. Go figure! But, we lost our special kitty right after we moved to Washington and he was devastated. He has flat out said "no more cats" :(

We found Fiyero stuck in a tree crying and a animal sucker that we are, he stayed....We LOVE him dearly and couldn't ask for a better cat. He was scared at first but he got over it very quickly. Because of him, I'm in love with cats now, I didn't used to be since I was highly allergic to cats. But I developed a immunity to cats now after being sick for a month with our second cat that we took in as she was very ill. Both were feral cats, but now sweet as they can be.

We have a lawyer neighbor who doesn't take care of her animals. Many years ago she got a young male cat who began spraying everywhere, including inside our house, because we have cat doors for ours. Wife grabbed the cat and took him in for fixing. The neighbor never found out, but she did notice a dramatic improvement in his behavior. Gutsy, huh?

Gutsy and AWESOME!!! I've been tempted many times in the past to do something similar to other people's pets. Such as my friend with the "every cat needs one litter" mentality. Good for your wife!

Will you please show us pics??

YES!! Pictures are definitely required!!

Spring time is kitten time;) I had some feral kittens come around last year looking for food but couldn't catch them. Then I found a half starved kitten at the local garden store. I took her to a rescue after hubby informed me the inn was full. I wasn't too disappointed since we have two cats and although I like cats I don't love them like dogs. He was a cutie but all kittens are cute and then they grow up and shed;) lol

Are you serious? Drown kittens? I would call the police - that's animal abuse and there are laws against that!!! What a crazy woman!!!!

Yes , I'm so sorry !! I will post them today. I just forgot how I did it , lol.
He is doing great , VERY friendly and outgoing. I am slowly giving him exposure to some of the dogs . Of course he is in my arms and he decides when he has had enough. But I tell you , this kitty is extremely bold !
My dogs are well behaved with babies , so they tolerate them or they walk away.
So , it's been working out well. My other cat Mya , isn't feeling the love though .
But , I think she will come around . If not t, the house is big enough that they could each have a floor and not run into each other , lol.
I'm just very concerned about my birds . Mya doesn't bother with them at all .
We will see.

I'm so happy the link worked , lolol.
And thanks , he is adorable ! I have to video him to tomorrow
playing with one of my dogs , lol. It's hysterical , he actually stalks one of my Border Collies ! My dog , Yogi , is very sweet to all living things and lets Poncho stalk him and smack his nose , lolol. If another dog comes near Poncho , Yogi growls as to protect him , lol. Too funny.
I will post another video , of Yogi playing with my other cat Mya.

What a cutie!! I love kittens, and tolerate cats, (their hair is disturbing to my senses). You found one lucky cat, for sure!

Poncho is such a cute little tuxedo baby. I had a tuxedo cat that I lost a couple years ago at 18, I named him Vinny, he was the don.

Thanks :). He's doing awesome , playing with my other at Mya
who is also a tuxedo but minus the tail , she's a Manx .
So now we have two tuxedos , kinda goes with the black and white
Border Collie theme we have going on , lololol.
Other the the blue merle and my sable.
Poncho does have a bit of maybe red shade on his withers along with
some tiger stripes , but they are very faint , but still there.
So , I guess maybe he was trying to fit in with the sable and BWs , lol.

We love him , he's a great addition to our family :)
He better leave my birds alone though :/

I would love to have a kitten. But I have 2 dogs. They love cats, but they won't leave them alone. Any cat or bird, or other animal who come's in our yard has to get passed the dogs first. Good luck with not getting licked to death. LOL
