Shes beautiful :) The Eclectus I got at xmas time had a beak just like this. I thought it might be some sort of diet deficiency.I took him to my vet to get him looked at and his beak done. I don't think the vets around here know as much as they should [he couldn't really give me an answer [except their was no infection] . He groomed his beak down well [but its growing back the same way].I found out that the under part of the upper beak has some sort of notch in it [and has to be filed down too] Im going to try this soon. Please let me know if you ever figure this out.

sure thing Pink, I know when they file Num Num's beak, he does the bottom and the top(if it needs it)....he looks pretty snazzy when he's done ;)

Beth, I know Sunrise thinks she is in heaven. And she is just as pretty as a sunrise. Both birds are gorgeous.

thanks Allee- compared to where she came from, I guess this is heaven for her.
she ate tonight for the first time, and now she's in bed, she needs her beauty sleep:D

My word, she's so pretty! I love that bright yellow. Can't wait to see what she looks like in a few months after some good nutrition.

Congrats!

Hi Beth, how is Sunrise doing today? Hope she is settling in well and starting to enjoy her new life:)

Her colors are beautiful! That is one lucky girl that you came a long, I am certain she will thrive in your care.

Beth what a beautiful little bird. I love the colors. I don't blame you for getting her. She looks so adorable. Thanks for rescuing her. She will be so much better in no time. Keep the pictures coming. Thanks.

Sunrise is doing very well, still quiet, but loves to chatter with the other birds in the other rooms.....a long distance calling, haha.

she hasn't eaten much, cause there are NO sunflower seeds in her food, so now she is scrounging for other types of seed. I'm feeding her Higgins Conure Sunburst along with NutriBerries.

I just wish her quarantine would hurry up!!!....she really needs to be with my other birds so they can teach her how to eat better foods, but that will come in time.

I don't think she knows how to play with any toys either, I can't recall if she had any in her cage. I put some timothy hay in the cage to see if she would play with it.....nothing. all my birds LOVE just mouthing and chewing it. She sits on her perch for most of the day, just checking everything out and enjoying the sunshine.(which is a bonus)

I can tell she is lonely, especially hearing the other birds and wanting to join them.

She is much more perky today, than when I saw her in her other cage, she was so very quiet, and withdrawn. today it's bright and sunny, she is moving around her cage a bit more....so a little bit of progress!

I can't wait for her to gain some weight, she really is thin :(
