How to teach cockatoo how to fly?

We bought JJ the goffin cockatoo almost year ago and the owner claims he's 1 years old (not too sure about his actual age). When we got him his wings were already clipped but we allowed it to grow. I don't think he knows how to fly properly lol he flies like a chicken. he just runs everywhere.

Don't worry and fret over this. You can't TEACH a bird to fly, they are born with instincts that tell them to be birds,,birds fly. That said, some birds were never allowed this God given gift. Be patient and accepting of the little steps your bird is taking.
