You can get your birds (greys, macaws, amazons, you name it) to eat anything. Pellets, broccoli, or any other healthy thing they won' eat now. This really works, I've been doing it for about a month now and it really works. Heres how.
Take a hard boiled egg and some peanut butter (I use chunky) and mash together in a bowl. I like to leave some chunks of egg white, so don't mash into a paste. While you're doing that soak some pellets in fruit juice, you don't need to get them soft. Then throw in the pellets, some diced apple, some diced melon, some broccoli, some carrot, some sweet potato and anything else you want your bird to eat. Stir everything together and heat in microwave for a few seconds, just enough to get the mixture slightly warm. I then put a nutraberry on top and bingo! My birds eat everything. It looks like my Grey licks his bowl clean I mean there is nothing left, nothing. after he's done he says "more". Try it, its awesome. Your birds will thank you.

lmao chef de parrot!!! hope your presentation is up to standard!!!

i just do the old, there is nothing else now, an that works lol as nut will happily eat pellets etc off her new table top perch, so all the good stuff is in her cage

Sounds lilke a birdie birthday cake. Where did you get this idea from?? I like it. You may want to think about using almond butter instead of peanut butter as it has more nutrition but does cost more.

Thanks, I'm going to try it. My bird is usually pretty good about the pellets, but doesn't really eat his veggies unless he gets hungry. I try to take his bowl of pellets out and replace it with veggies/fruit at supper time. I leave it in there for a few hours and then put his pellets back in the evening. Usually he will eat one or two pieces of veggies but it only seems like he eats enough to keep his tummy from growling (if they do that - lol).

Plus my bird really prefers foot size pieces so it will be interesting to see if he goes for it.
