How to delete account/post

Just wondering, is it possible to delete an account or a post on these forums?

Post, yes; just click the "delete" button in the lower right corner of your post, next to the one that says "edit". I don't know about account.

Why do you want to delete the account? as for deleting a thread, you will need the help of a moderator.

Because I was asking a question whether I should purchase a bird, seeing as I won’t be, and currently don’t own any birds, I don’t really need these forums… So how should delete the account with the moderator?

The Mods assume if you added it to the member's name list that you are okay with being called it in a thread. No worries, I'll change it on my post. Would you like me to remove it from the member names list as well?
