How much did you pay for your GCC?

That'd be awesome if she had some when I wanted them. The problem is, my mom wouldn't drive that far, and I wouldn't want to pay for shipping.

I got Rio (hand raised pineapple) when he was 3 months old from a local breeder who is a personal friend for $80 and I got Kai (7 mo old handraised pineapple) on CL for a $60 rehome fee

My Pineapple is 375 plus $125 shipping. But totally worth it to me.

I paid $200 (found a private breeder through a classified) for our pineapple GCC, which seems to be the average around here.

Hiya im from the uk and a baby handtame GCC is between £125 - £250

Im getting my GCC from a local breeder and paying £125 (which converted into -
UK£ 125 = 197.8875 US$

Reviving an old thread - I paid $225 for Pino - turquoise green cheek at the Golden Cockatoo in Deerfield Beach, Florida. They're a great store/breeder.

There's a different breeder near me (in Miami) who has a baby pineapple turquoise for $200 - I was considering waiting for it to wean (still has a few weeks left) but I fell in love with Pino first.

there is a local breeder here that ranges 80 to 175, 80 is unweaned though 175 is fully weaned..

Petsmart when i went to go buy a couple toys had a GCC for 399

I paid 399 for my sun conure at a pet store that just sells birds and bird items.

Misha - yellow-sided $50 my little bargain bird!
Guapo - cinnamon $150
Worked out very well for me, I've noticed prices are going up though, a lot of people trying to sell GCC for 300ish, guess people are catching on to the popularity of these little guys!

Pet stores here sell them for $399. Most breeders though are $125 for a weaned baby. $100 for unweaned. And then there is this one backyard breeder I see on craigslist all the time for $80 unweaned at 3-4 weeks old.

Local pet shops sell them for around $300 around here, which I think is a bit pricey for a regular GCC. Then they start discounting them after they have been their too long and aren't as friendly anymore, which just makes me mad. I've tried to find breeders but no body has any right now, probably because they were all sold to the petstore for $150;)

£200. Over average, but we knew* he was the right bird for us.

*well, he seemed like a lark. It's not like you can know how they'll turn out at home.

Here in Canada, there is no such thing as any parrot under $200 from a petstore or breeder.
GCC-$300 breeder petstore-$500
Cinnamon- $325 breeder petstore-$600
Fancy aka yellow sided $350 breeder petstore $650-700

If your looking for something bigger like an amazon or quaker you better have yourself at least $1500 for just the bird, probably another $700 for a cage. I got my 4 month Cinnamon green cheek on craigslist with a large 4´x1.5´x3´ cage for $350. But because he is from where he is from I dont know his breeder, he isnt banded, and Im not 100% sure he is the age I was told he is.

I paid $160 for Jules - yellow sided - and she's a pain in my rear lol. Gotta luv her little birdie self though :)

I was just wondering the usual price for GCC

5 years ago:

Cinnamon mutation Rusty = $349 Petco
Normal mutation Scooter = $299 Petco

2.5 years ago:

Pineapple mutation Rosie = $379 PetSmart (I tried to get them to lower the price given its age, even price match, but it was a no-go... but I wanted to get the bird out of that heckhole so I splurged...)

Tybbi = $25 donation to the humane society, also noting Tybbi isn't a GCC but it's so infrequent when I can use the infinity ASCII symbol... /geek
