Glad to hear you have had good experiences with them. We've been to many bird stores and liked them the best, plus being close to where we are is great. We are keeping our fingers crossed in hopes we hear from them soon.
What was meant by that statement was that we would have rather that be the news vs the death of the baby. We trust this seller and their years of experience. That's why we choose them.
I am sure they will do their best to do right by you. I would have purchased from them had they had a Hahns macaw that was or would be available for my daughter's bday.
I guess what I had said was taken a little more literally than I had intended it to be. In the time that I wrote it I was just putting myself in a place to imagine that the baby had gone home with someone else and had had a happy ending rather than his truly tragic demise. I have had nothing but good things to say about Bird Mania, especially Debbie who had to deal with this issue first hand. She and her husband have answered more questions than anyone at any of the other stores combined. I explained that to her today when she and I talked about it since she was thinking I was flatly telling people she sold the bird out from under me and that didn't help her to feel any better about the situation! We are still going to go with Bird Mania to get our baby and although I was tempted to look elsewhere (which I also told her today) there are just so many qualities Bird Mania has over other places, I would only buy from them if Debbie were to tell me she was not able to obtain anymore. She basically told me today that if she has to breed her own she will just to get us a baby and THAT is why Nick and I are staying by them. Sometimes things happen, there is no other way to look at it and nothing can change it. We all have been saddened by our loss. But on the bright side she will contact me on Tuesday and let me know what the status is on a new baby.
I wouldn't say anything bad about Bird Mania, and I'm sorry Debbie had the additional stress of thinking I said something negative about her business. That is the reason I hadn't initially named the business in the first place. Information was misconstrued and in another post I specifically said The place we are buying from is Perfect for many reasons! So I wish when she was informed of my.. Unintended Statement-for lack of a better term- I wish she would have also been informed that I meant absolutely no harm to her business ethic. She is a fabulous lady and we very much look forward to working with her for a long time to come once we finally bring our baby home!
