How Heavy?

I have a Lutino lovebird who's less than three months old, and has been with me for a little over a week (sorry for the repetition, those of you who have read my posts before). I have a question, though...

How much should my bird weigh? I know an adult lovebird should weigh between 40-60 grams (I think), but what about a younger baby?

they may weigh a little less than an adult, but not by much. by the time they are feathered, they are normally full grown.


depends on the bird. some birds are pretty heavy (example, my female lovebird is a big bird, at 64 grams!), while others can be smaller than average too and be perfectly healthy. typically, more females tend to be heavier than males.
