- Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
We built a special perch, that we dug into the sand between our chairs, and we had umbrellas so he would be shaded. He LOVED it. Loved, loved, LOVED it. You could see the joy on his face.
EXACTLY! And I notice such a HUGE difference behaviorally when we get home, and also when the weather is bad, and they haven't been outside in awhile...
My red lored amazon is used to getting a significant amount of "tree time." When it's cold and rainy, or excessively hot, she starts going stir crazy wanting to go outside...
And I have THREE that compete for rides in the car.
Take that away from them because some non-animal person doesn't approve?!
JUST NOT HAPPENING!
