Slightly computer challenged and have tried and tried to figure out how to change my profile photo, but no luck. Thanks in advance fo any help!

To clarify, do you mean the pic posted on your profile page? (currently looks like a painting of some kind)

Or do you mean an "avatar", which is displayed with your username all the time?

Sorry I meant the pic showing on my profile page. Thanks for the links, but for some reason I am unable to open links from this forum, apparently a few of us Google users are having issues opening links and things. To clarify I just want to change the pic posted on my profile page. Thanks all!

Do you have Internet Explorer of Firefox? If you have try using that for a while and see if it makes a difference, then we will know if it is Google Chrome that is the problem.

Wendy, I use nothing but Chrome when on here and I have 0 issues.

Ya like I said I'm not super computer savy but I do't think it's a Google problem either, I wonder if it's a personal computer set up issue (not that I know how to change mine or anything, lol), like cookies, or browser setup or something?.. but either than that if maybe someone can just talk me through just the change of profile pic, on the forum, I can hopefully change it that way:)

Ummm.. I am at a loss as to why this is happening:(

Can you access the mark forums read ? or does it come up with this.....

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid.

Do you have the latest Chrome installed? If not, you may want to try uninstalling it through Control Panel, Add or Remove/Uninstall a Program, then using Internet Explorer, go back to Google Chrome and reinstalling it.

It does make me wonder if you might have an infected computer though... Can you get to this link?
Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download

Just go into user cp and click on edit profile.. then upload new profile pick from your computer and click save.

nope can't get to it. It only shuts me down. I don't think my PC's infected though. My scans don't show infection.

What antivirus are you using?

If it's shutting you down then it's almost definitely a virus!! Most viri today will NOT let you go to a website that may detect it! Your 1st option will be to try booting up in "Safe Mode with Networking" and see if you can get to that site, otherwise you'll need to get a USB stick, download the tools (programs) you'll need on another computer and then try to run them on yours (again in Safe Mode w/ Networking)

I opened my mouth too soon. A virus has shown reared it's nasty head...darnit! On top of that some freakin AOL program has imbedded itself on my laptop. On my sons iPad today, which I'm not thrilled with typing on. So bummed!

Shoot me a PM if you need any help, once you mentioned the "shutting down" I was pretty sure that was the issue.
