How can I "make" my Conure like my son?

Chicky was given to me 2 years ago by a couple that was tired of his screaming. He is a youngish male.
In short, he loves me and loathes my 14 year old son. I keep his wings clipped (or else Chicky would "swoop" my son). When my son gets near him, Chicky squats down and sways back and forth, shaking. We call it his "war dance". I take him into every room with me (including the shower - which he loves) to: 1) keep his screaming to a minimum & 2) to keep him company while I can, when I'm not at work - I know birds can go bananas if they get lonely.
How can I make the bird like my son?? I've tried having my son wear a leather glove (so it wouldn't hurt when he bites) but Chicky scrambled up his arm and when straight for his neck! Help!!

I would start by letting your son feed him & give him treats. Anything he enjoys your son should be in charge of it. He probably attacks your son when you are in the room, right? You should not be in the room when your son interacts w/him. Your son could sit by his cage & talk to him, sing to him, just spend time w/him. I have a similar problem w/merlin, he loves my husband, but will still bite him if I'm around. Reward good behavior w/a treat or excited GOOD BOY. Bad behavior, time out alone (10 minutes or so) then go back & try again. He probably sees himself as the alpha male in your house.

IMO you cant "make" a bird like certain people. I wouldnt push it and possibly stress the bird or make the bird absolutely hate him. Some of my birds like the kids and some dont, just had to teach the kids that if they insist on trying to bond with a bird that doesnt like them they will get bit, that said Mai Tai use to hate the kids but he is slowly warming up to my daughter but she still gets bit a lot.
