Ostriches?! ...make nice house pets? ! Lol. So you don't need a permit or anything special to have them?
Thank you Birdman for the information. I would like you all to check sir bani yas wildlife sanctuary and see their hard work in this regard

Can't say that I agree with that statement at all...
Years ago I did a PI lawsuit on a person who was badly maimed by an Ostrich. There was a junk dealer who got rid of his junkyard guard dogs, and replaced them with Ostriches? Why? The birds were meaner, (a lot meaner!) and no one could outrun them.
The birds chased this guy down, got him on the ground, and literally stomped and clawed him until the tranquilizer darts kicked in... Have you ever seen the claws on an ostrich? It's no Joke! Those birds can and will hurt you! And they can apparently stomp you hard enough to fracture ribs, and rupture spleens.
Not something I'd want as a pet!
Oh I was just joking even if I had a ranch I still wouldn't want one!
Yikes, sounds pretty dangerous too. I don't trust 300 lb. birds LOL!
Wow well i take it all back. coming from the UK where all the pet shops i ever visited where in amazing condition compared to this! like i said il take it back. I'm visiting this place next friday so maybe once I'm there i will see that they take more care of them.. but if u watched the whole video how can u say keeping a fully grown ostridge and peacock in a cade that they can't even stand up in fair…
I'm obviously very new to how pet shop treat animals as I've always assumed they were kept in better ways than this.

I think the UK takes animal welfare more seriously than many other countries. Here in the US, so long as it isn't a dog or cat (because thats the only 2 animals the average American cares about the welfare of), pretty much no one (authority wise) cares how badly it's neglected or severely it's abused. If you do, you're a "tree hugging whack job" because after all, it's ONLY a fish/reptile/bird/rodent/cow/pig/chicken....it's life doesn't matter! On a more positive note, I've never been in a pet store like that here. If I were in the market for a pet and hypothetically couldn't adopt, I would want to buy an animal at a place like that
