Venus is in month 10 of puberty and is still a raging hormone. This week she appears that her urges are stronger. Today she was trying hard to regurgitate for me.

I thought I'd share a video of Venus. Here she is trying to feed her spoon and be fed by her spoon.

And after eating. I love how she just picks where she wants to sit lol.

Venus is VERY CUTE!
This is similar to what Bella has been doing, except she's trying to feed from me. I was a bit worried about her being so young and weaned too soon.

Just today she tried feeding from my mouth (which is a first - as usually she tries to feed from my fingers - as that's where treats come from!) I obviously didn't let her get her beak in my mouth and just fed her something from my hand as a distraction tactic. She's only now approaching 6 months old at the end of November.

Aw Tracey, hang in there. It gets better! There will be light at the end of the tunnel soon!

What I do is say No, turn away. If she keeps trying I say no at each attempt and place her in her cage for ten minutes. I get her out after ten minutes and we repeat if necessary. It's worked, THANK YOU STEPHEN!!!!! AKA Anansi!

You're most welcome, Trace! I think it's important to note that the hard part, though, is having the persistence to keep applying the tactic. Without the consistency you have practiced, it never would have worked. So great job, my friend.

Wow, she's really going at it with that spoon! Lol! Thank you for posting this video, so that people who are going through this for the first time, like Violet_Diva, can see it and recognize it for what it is.

I bet you won't mind if I just pop in and say
WHAT A GOOD-LOOKING BIRD!!!!!!
