Tonight's homecoming night at my daughter's high school, and she has been nominated for homecoming queen... on Halloween of all nights... (and she's got a big date for the dance!)

I tease her and say, just remember to look up, watch out for a bucket of blood! :D (Carrie!)

Anyway, win or lose, at least I know she will have some happy memories from her Senior year...

To heck with the "bucket of blood" ,it's those high school boys you need to worry about.LOL

I'll just have to make my own little bucket of blood then... Won't I?! :11:

lol @ Carrie

Oh, yeah... Lots of Carrie and Pedro jokes...

In fact, her whole thing was very anti-preppie, tongue-in-cheek, just have fun with this... One of her posters was: "A VOTE FOR SARAH IS A VOTE FOR PEDRO!" With a photoshopped pic of her with Napoleon Dynamite hair, and a mustache, with a Liger on her lap...

:D Apparently it was a hit!

Gotta have a sense of humor!

Many congrats to your daughter, Mark! :D You must be SUCH a proud Papa!!

@ the Carrie comment.

You'll be having a FUN FUN evening/night, no doubt about it.

She's coming of age right before my eyes... This has been a big personal growth year for her.

She's still got a lot of growing to do, and she still tends to be a slacker, but I'm very proud of her!

Congrats to your daughter on the nomination, Mark! Was she made homecoming queen? (And I'm with Richard. Beware the high school boys! Lol!)

She didn't win, but one of her best friends did...

Her friend really wanted this too, and she honestly only did it as kind of a "oh what the hell, who cares..." So she was actually really happy with the result.

"I'm on the court, I'm one of the most popular girls in school, and I got a free ticket to the homecoming dance! Why do I care who wins?!"

I raised her right too!
