Holiday Cage

Last time I took Rico to stay at my freinds place while I took care of her apartment when she was away he travelled very well and made himself at home in his new environment immediately.
This time around the travelling went great - he seems to love it (and the attention he gets when he looks out of the side of the carrier, lol). he also settled into his new environment perfectly.
However for some reason he seems to be having issues with his 'holiday cage'. Granted it is smaller (I have him out while I am home and am not gone for long when I am out) but he immediately tries to break out as soon as I put him in there. It's like suddenly he has major anxiety over it....
Any thoughts, help, ideas?

He may just need time to adjust. Try rearranging the toys in the cage and see if that helps!

OK ...so now we are home and he still wont stay in his cage. Yesterday he broke out while I was at work (luckily he doesn't do anything but sit on top of it or take brief flights around the room). But I can't figure where this sudden aversion to cages is coming from.
He used to get out in the morning before I left for work and come out of his cage for three or four hours when I got home...no problems. He has plenty new toys in his cage too. Just puzzled.......
