Parrots
African Red Bellied
Leo the Cockatiel
Scuttle the Parakeet
Hi guys. I have an African Red Bellied, a cockatiel and a parakeet. My name is Jordan, I've had parrots for 20+ years and this is the first parrot forum I've ever joined. I've mainly kept different types of conures in the past, I've also had a Quaker that recently died after getting his head through the door of his cage and getting stuck. Whoever held him last forgot to lock it but I've taken steps to prevent that from happening again.
The main reason I've joined is because of how much trouble I'm having with my Red Bellied. I got him just after his second birthday from a bird shop that takes great care of their birds. They said he's never sold, so he's never left the shop. I'm his first owner and it's real easy to tell. I've never had such a timid parrot (well, maybe one exception) but I'm looking forward to lurking these forums and implementing ideas. Figured I'd make an intro thread just to do it.

My red bellied isn't named yet, I've had him since April 8th and he will stand on my finger or shoulder for a few seconds before flying, but will hang out for hours if I set him on the counter or couch. He says hello and makes some cool clicking noises and beeps that he learned from an African grey. He seldom bites at this point when compared to when I first got him, but when he does bite- it always draws blood.

My cockatiel is named Leo. He's a couple years old almost, he whistles the star wars' Darth Vader tune, the Addams Family theme son and other tunes. He's bit me once in his life, he's a great bird.

The parakeet is named Scuttle. Right after I acquired him the Quaker I use to own attacked him while I was out of the room and the parakeet attempted to climb up the Quakers cage. The parakeet is missing part of five different toes. He's never bit hard but I've been very patient with him. At this point his toes are healed and scarred over, he doesn't seem to have any pain in them whatsoever but he does struggle to grab onto things and keep his balance.

Thanks all

Thank you for condolences. His name was Y-Cue and he was a good bird. Territorial, but a great bird.
Do you guys use a web hosting service or should I imbed pics? What's the easiest way?
