hey guy's, im new to the forum, seems like a nice place....
I kind of need your advice....
I got me a 2.5 years old Rainbow Lori, i have him for 4 day's...
he is eating from my hand(apples) and when i put a stick in front of him, he is getting on it and i can take him out of his cage and walk around the house with him.
today he even climbed on my shoulder and set on it.
but he doesn't let me pet him... every time i try he bites me(it doesn't hurt).
is there a way i can make him get used to being touched?
another problem is when im not around him, he is making a lot of noise.
as soon as i leave the room he is starting to whistle a high pitched note.

I hope you can help me.
Kind regards.

if you can put his cage in an area where he can have a good view?? his calling is cos he does not want to be alone

for 4 days his taken to you well to take food from you and step up :) just give it a little more time and just let him get use to you for now, and when he does start letting you pet him, just quick head rubs to start

Just like what suebee says. You can't expect him to totally accept you in just 4 days. Sometimes you get lucky. For him coming out to your shoulders and take food from your hand is a big achievement. Give him a bit longer to get used to you before the head rub, when he's ready he'll let you know.
