Hi, I am looking to adopt either an African Grey or any type of Amazon parrot. I was a vet tech and also did animal rescue for a very long time. I recently became sick and disabled and I’m home all day bored and would love love love too give a parrot a wonderful spoiled happy life with me who has the connections and means to financially take care of a parrot I have had parrots in the past that I have rescued and rehomed, as well as every type of animal you can imagine. Now that I’m disabled and home I would love to have one with me as I am stuck here almost 24 seven and very sad and I know a parrot would be great for me And I would be one of the best owners as possible. Is anybody has a parrot such as a Amazon or African Grey and they are interested in finding a loving understanding home that will take time to work with him or her and spoil them to no ends and in the tri-state area please let me know. Thanks !

Why not contact local vets, especially exotic and avian. These sometimes are aware of individuals who need to re-home parrots. They may even be aware of legit breeders. I mean the few who have just 1 or 2 breeding pairs and want their 'grandchildren' to go to good homes. I got a past and current CAG that way.

I also see several parrot rescue organizations in the New Jersey area you could contact. My current African Gray, and my previous Blue Front Amazon came from a parrot rescue near me.

You sound like the perfect person to get a parrot. So many people want a parrot but work full time and can only spend a few hours a day with them. It's the best most people can do because most people need to work. I hope you adopt a wonderful parrot to take care of.

Thank you!!! Yeah I’m in Northern nj near NYC so hopefully I’ll find a parrot that needs me !!!! I want either a mealy amazon or an African grey really really bad but will take any kind of parrot that needs a home I will love unconditional and have way way to much time VERY depressed by myself. I had parrots but my ex took them because of his living situation being better then mine at that time and now I’m so so heartbroken and sad and being home all day without my parrots KILLs my heart. Literally home all the time lonely hopefully someone sees this and needs help and then I would let them check in and visit if they want especially people who love their birds but aren’t home all day and feel bad I would be perfect and allow them to still visit.
