Welcome !!

So Glad you joined us here, I guess if they don't do that as much in the UK you would get a lot of attention taking him to the local park!

I like the flight harness myself

Ha ha can't imagine taking him to the park Sounds fun tho! Most people that meet him are shocked he comes out of the cage let alone the house, I think he would be pretty good tho as he is very much my baby and does come to me when called. I will try to get some pics up lol he is a sweetie!

Also do most of you feed pellets? They are incredibly hard to get hold of over here and untill recently I worked in a pet shop, virtually all parrots are fed on seed. Mine has free acess to his seed mix and whatever fruit and veg is in the house/garden although he is very picky! I've never had a problem with his health though.

We haven't started on pellets yet. Ducati has his chop mix I make him, then he gets a dry fruit and veggie mix I ordered from mysafebirdstore.com. It has some pellets in it though and he seems to like those just fine.

Oooo what do you put in your chop mix? Is your little guy fussy at all? The seed mix I get has egg biscuit dried fruit veg corn nuts and seeds in but I think I'm lucky in so much as he doesn't eat loads and will choose the fresh over his mix.

He has two different kinds right now. One has couscous, garbanzo beans, red bell pepper, cilantro, and dried oats. His second one has couscous, navy beans, carrots, sweet corn, cilantro, and dried oats. Cooked the couscous and beans.

He's pretty picky. The only way I can get him to try a new chop mix is to put a little of his seed mix in it. He came to me only eating seed for a year so it was a slight battle switching him to fresh stuff. His dry mix he took to like a fish to water.

I did get him to like bananas by giving him pieces of one that I was picking at. Now he loves those. Comes running when he sees I have a banana so we can eat it together.

That's good that your guy prefers fresh over seeds. Ducati is so picky lol.

Here this might help you post your pics, jump down to #7

I don't know if it is different if you are using a phone, I am on a computer

1) Go here to create an album:

http://www.parrotforums.com/album.php?do=addalbum

Type the name of the album in the "Title" field
Then If you want to, type a Description of what the album is about
(not necessary if title is self explanatory)

Then click "submit" to create the album

2) Now click where it says "Click here to upload pictures!"

3) Then click one of the "Browse" buttons to locate the picture you want to upload
(you can add up to 3 pictures at a time)

4) After you have the picture (or pictures) listed, click "Upload Pictures"

5) Now you are at the "Caption" box, type in a description of the picture
(or one description in each picture's Caption box if you have more than one)

6) Then click "Save Changes"

7) Now you will see the picture (or pictures)

8) To add them to a post, just click on one and then copy buffer the "BB code" and paste it into your post

NOTE: For viewing nicely from a computer the picture should not be much more than 800 px to 1000 px wide

To get back to your Albums just click the "user CP" at the top of every forum page
Then click "Pictures & Albums" on the left sidebar
