Hi Fellow Parrot Lovers

I am mum to a 2 year old GCC named "Ryu" (rye you)... named after the Japanese word meaning "dragon". Ry is my third parrot. I lost my first love, Kenya (a Meyer) at the age of 14 and her death broke my heart. It was the most devastating loss but I have many fond memories of the time we shared.

I am happy to be here, part of a community to share information and stories about our winged loved ones. Not sure what more I can say about myself... I like to dance and sing

Hi there and welcome.i like the name Ryu. I had tried to think of some Japanese names for my birds but couldn't come up with anything clever.
I'm newer here to but I can tell you this much, everyone is really nice and happy to help when they can.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Found the forum myself today - Jimmy is my first and only parrot. I hope you find some useful support from others here as well!
