Oscar - alexandrine
Hi :) Im new to the forum, it suggested an introduction!

My name is bryce, and this is my wonderful parrot, Oscar. He is coming up to 9 months old. I haven't had him gender tested, how ever the lady I bought him assured me he was a boy. I guess ill find out in another few months when he gets his new feathers :) IMG_1837.jpg

Welcome Bryce! : )

Oscar looks a lot like my Alex. He is also male. Alex just recently got his pink feathers. So I know he is a boy ;p
Oscar looks like he has a large beak so I would say male, my girl is about the same age and she has a rounder head and smaller beak. She was DNA'd.

It's very exciting to see new feathers come in.

I would also love to see more pics! : D

Cheers Ash, that's good to know! I have always been a little worried "Oscar", would turn into a "Oscarine" or something more feminine. I can't wait to see his pink come through, So far it's been really exciting watching the colors in his tail and wings start to change, especially so in the sun. I'll be sure to upload some more, he isn't camera shy at the slightest!

Thanks Tab_xo :) Fargo looks like a stunner! Oscar would be jealous if he knew I was checking out another bird, I better scroll down :p...

Oscar has just started "trick" training, in the formal sense. He is a very well behaved bird considering I've never taught him much apart from how to step up, he doesn't bite. Although he doesn't take well to girls to much, but I put that down to my 2 female house mates who seem to be able to get into real arguments with him...a bird..hahah. The last couple days I've been teaching him to spread his wings on command :)

Welcome!

I'm also from qld and have a 1 year old male Alex.

He's got 4 tricks so far, he does turn around around, step up, kiss and his new one is putting an almond in the cup
