Been reading and following these boards for quite awhile and since it's getting closer to bringing my new baby, Jasper, home finally got the courage to say "hi y'all". He's currently 3 mos old and I'm waiting for him to wean while he's learning to fly and being loved by his breeder mom.
I've been on the parrot journey for 11 years and have loved and lost a few along the way. They have, I don't have to tell you, opened my eyes to an amazing world and introduced me to great friends (feathered and un) along the way.
I currently have a 10 yr old BH caique, Pico, whom I've had since he was a baby. I wake up to the songs of my 2 waterslager canaries most mornings and the happy chirping and antics of my 4 male finches. I have a panther chameleon, Mora Mora; a crested gecko, Kip; and bird's worst enemy, yorkie, Rocky from Morocco, whom we've had for 8 yrs. Due to a tragic accident Rocky killed my 8 mo SI in August. I was out of town at the time.
Look forward to learning from everyone and being part of the adventure.
