Hey! New to forum

Hey fellow bird lovers! I came across your great forum after researching a question I had regarding my Red Lored Amazon having a distinct odor. I looked around and decided to join I am not new to owning parrots as I've had a couple of Yellow Naped Amazons in the past. Sadly they are no longer with me I worked at a vet hosptital and took in the sick birds noone could care for, so sadly they paased, but had a great life til the end. I ended up becoming disabled and had to putmy luv for birds on the back burner.

Last November for my b-day I became the proud owner of a 7 month old Timneh Grey. His name is Zeus. I was actually shopping for a congo, but this little guy stole my heart! A few weeks later the place I got Zeus was going to have some Congos. Well I jumped on that band wagon. The end of March came and low and behold I saw my little boy for the first time and fell in love. Odin was named and a few months later became part of my family Since both boys took to me my boyfriend felt a bit left out. We kept our eyes open and he finally found the bird for him. A cute little hahns Macaw came into our household. Her name is Dani. He also fell in love with a Red Lored Amazon, so she joined our little group as well. Her name is Artemus. So, there you have my feathered family

I look forward to meeting new friends. I will post pix of the crew as soon as I get them uploaded

So, we have another Amazon sniffer, yes? You mentioned the distinct odor...isn't it heavenly? I regularly snort both my Amazons, and am a firm believer they should market and sell that scent. :54:

I have an spectacled, (White Fronted) Amazon and I love Noah's amazon smell! I too cant wait to sniff an amazon The smell grows on you over time. Your flock sounds wonderful! Welcome to the forum!! I have a daughter with many special needs and autism & our birds are our life!! They have done amazing things for her, including helping her through intense pain!! They are a true gift from God!
