Hey guys!
My names Tim, I'm 25 and live in Alberta! I have been a long time animal lover, also worked at a pet store as a teenager. I mostly have interests in reptiles ( I breed snakes as well ) but have always loved birds as well. I just never was in the proper situation to give a bird the proper attention ( worked on the oil rigs was always working). I also didn't want to have a bird while renting. I now own my own home, and still work in the oil patch but now I have my own shack (it's like a little house) and spend lots of time in my shack and at home. So I decided I was ready for a parrot. After months of research, i decided on a Meyers! I think a little Meyers would suit me perfectly! I did fall in love with a cockatoo, well he fell in love with me, when I was younger working at the pet store. But I don't think a cockatoo would be a good first bird. Also I don't know if my girlfriend could handle a cockatoo because she gets migraines frequently. I ordered him from a breeder in Vancouver, I wanted to avoid shipping, but all the breeders locally I didn't get responses from. Their web pages were very outdated as well ) so I went with the closest breeder I could find. The flight is short so hopefully he doesn't get too stressed.
His name will be either Zazu or Petri I will have to meet him
To decide! He arrives March 7th I will post photos when he arrives!
