So this all started Friday evening when she kicked me off the playtop cage (you know, the one she borrowed from Shirre for the little interloper bird Kick) She was giving it a thorough disinfecting/wipe down and taking all the toys out! She said it had to go back to Shirre since Kick wasn't here anymore.

Try as I might, I just couldn't stop her. I kept jumping from my cage onto her shoulders, her back, even her head, but nothing I did worked! She just kept putting me back on my cage or my tree and telling me to stop being a butthead!

Then there was nothing left, my foot toys were all in a box and the hanging toys were all put in the toy drawer, the newspaper was gone and she just shoved the whole cage into the corner for the night.

When Saturday morning came things started out normal. Mom gave me a yummy breakfast and went about getting ready for work all normal like and then BAM! She lost her mind and has spent the last couple days ruining my world!

She only worked a couple hours on Saturday morning and then Gramma showed up with the truck and they took the playtop cage out and loaded it in the back and left. They were gone all day, then she came back & gave me dinner like nothing had happened!

Sunday morning she got up and fed me like any other Sunday morning. She drank her coffee and watched some news on T.V. She took me to the shower with her and we both got soaked and had a great time, then she lost it again and started moving furniture around the living room!

She moved my cage all the way across the living room (like 15 feet away from the window) and said it was getting too cold outside for me to be close to the window. I swear I only sneezed like 3 times and she freaked out on me! I mean like how am I supposed to keep an eye on all the people walking their dogs or all the little birds eating my leftovers? Mom says I'm a bird so I have great eyesight and that 15 feet probably doesn't even effect me one bit, but I beg to differ! I have to yell so much louder now just to make sure everyone hears me!

And then yesterday she spent most of the day running errands and then came home and started sewing! She wouldn't let me check out the sewing machine or anything. It's got all these cool buttons & knobs, but she said I had to stay on my cage or my tree! How can she do that to me? I want to take the buttons & knobs off and chew on them, they look really cool, but she says "No" it's her sewing machine and not a bird toy. When I scream my opinion at her she tells me to quiet down! Then she tells me if I don't quiet down she will put the cover on my cage and I can take a nap until my attitude changes! She's the one with the attitude, not me!

Can any of you help a girl out? Maybe explain things to her for me? I'm even considering learning how to fly better just so I can get to the sewing machine and play with Mom while she's using it, but I'm not sure she would appreciate my efforts.

Maybe I could move out until she learns to appreciate my opinion more? Maybe one of you would let me crash at your place until she comes to her senses? Anyone have any ideas how I can get her to listen? How did you guys get your humans to pay attention?

Oh my gosh...way to funny!!!
Zillow you can come stay with me anytime!!! But I don't think mom will let you.

Zilla, Poppy here, pack what's left of your stuff, you can crash here anytime, Girlfriend! I'll warn you now though, once you're under my roof you're on your own with my mom, she's stubborn and opinionated. I scream, she mushroom caps me, take my cage apart, she puts it back together better than ever, throw my veggies at the dogs, like magic, I get more veggies. Zilla, I learned to fly, it made her so happy I may never do it again. Sheesh, they can be so selfish with their things. I always try to help with toy projects, nope, she lands me on my play stand with spare toy parts and tells me to keep busy with my own projects.

Think about it before you run away, Zilla! I had my things packed but my feathered forum friends talked me right out of that! If you stay up late check the internet underground parrot forums, the stories I've heard, Girl, enough to break your heart. I think we have it better than most. Even if we did run away for a sleep over, your parront would tell my parront and we'd both be mushroom capped or confined to our cages or stands.

Keep your chin up, Buttercup! Remember, we always have the upper hand. They LOVE us unconditionally!

ROTFL!!!!! Such mistreated birds!
